Seeking hope and guidance from heaven
Do you ever look up at the clouds hoping to catch a glimpse of God? The perception that heaven is above us, or above earth and thinking if we are just clever enough, we can sneak a peek to confirm our faith is not necessarily illogical. This isn’t correct either. As a child, I was certain whenever I laid down on the grass and searched the clouds in the sky, I would see God’s face, or possibly his hands, and definitely the gold thrown that he sat upon. I thought I would see God walking from cloud to cloud and felt a bit overwhelmed that he knew everything about me.
Maybe this is just an idealistic and misguided dream to see God in the clouds. I think others may feel the same way though. We often stare up at the stars at night as we search for answers, for meaning in our lives. I’m still in love with clouds to this day. I take picture after picture of these beautiful floating multi-shaped forms convincing me that I see the shape of faces, birds (a pelican to be specific), hearts, and signs of my heavenly son.
Watching clouds form, build, reshape, and float away connects me to God, Spirit and to endless possibilities of magical moments ready to explode into reality.
The vastness of the skies seems impossible to capture in a picture, but I will continue to search the clouds and the stars at night for answers, inspiration, and most definitely signs of love from my heavenly son.
Nature has such grandness to amaze me with splendour and beauty with a magnificence that can only be replicated by the most gifted artists. The desire to capture the wonder we feel as we gaze upon the sky, the ocean, the mountains, and other natural designs of nature is truly motivating and healing. It is also empowering to our soul.
Feeling down, anxious, stressed and other negative emotions always dissolve when I immerse myself in nature. Taking longs walks on the beach, cloud gazing, and searching for sea shells activates my spiritual self. All is well in my world again, or at least manageable.
On a journey of self-healing and choosing to be a vehicle for healing other’s with broken hearts, I look for inspiration that carries through me to you. Life isn’t perfect and some experiences are traumatic and stop our life from revolving in any normal fashion. I often need re-energized to make sense of my life and nature helps me heal. I see God in nature. I feel God’s love for me. I feel my spiritual side and connect to God when I immerse myself in the billowy clouds, the sound and sight of waves shuffling over sea shells and stones as they disperse into foamy splashes of water onto the beach.
I recommend taking time to act with child like awe at the benevolent gifts of nature. Lay down on the grass, or a hammock will do nicely and look at the clouds for a glimpse of God and for a few moments feel the magic of possibilities stirring your soul. We must go within our own soul to connect to Spirit. Nature is like a giant doorway into heaven giving you immediate access. You will feel better and maybe get a few inspiring thoughts to give you hope and a smile within your own heart. Most importantly, you will feel loved.
